ITT-Allievi Sangallo School forthe 2030 agenda: A year focused on Goal 12

In this school year, some students of ITT-Allievi Sangallo school (students from 2AECA), took part in an eTwinning project, called: SDG TIME TRAVELLERS, devoted to (among others) the 12th goal of the 2030 agenda which promotes responsible consumption and production.

This goal highlights how much is important to reduce waste and promote a sustainable lifestyle to protect our planet.
Thanks to this project, students had the chance to interact with students from other European countries, such as Greece, Romania, Spain and Slovenia. Together they completed some useful activities to reflect on their daily routines in an environmentally-friendly way. They had some interesting ideas to make their life more sustainable. These activities were uploaded on the eTwinning platform, which allows students and teachers remote collaboration and intercultural exchange.

But now some of the students of 2AECA class are going to describe in detail what activities they have done and what their feelings are.
The eTwinning project was amazing. At first, in October we did a videocall with students from Greece, Slovenia, Spain and Romania. We introduced ourselves and we played some interesting games together. Each month after the videocall we did some activities in the eTwinning platform. We did some presentations about our daily routines, our countries and some posters where we had to write our ideas to reduce the food and water waste or to travel in a sustainable way.

This was useful because it helped us to reflect on how much we waste and how we can live better to protect our planet, which is already in trouble, because of disrespectful human behaviour.

Edoardo Giulivi, student of 2AECA class, said: “This project was awesome, I really had a lot of fun. I learned a lot about other countries and I enjoyed so much the proposed activities”.

These are the words of only one of the students of the class but everyone enjoyed the project and learned a lot about very important topic.
This experience helped the students become more aware of environmental challenges and the importance of their choices. It also improved their digital, language and teamwork skills, by encouraging collaboration and international exchange.
